Integrating Intergenerational Care, Kyoto, Japan
Potential of college-linked community as intergenerational care
How Intergenerational Learning Environments Can Enrich Older People

Just as the Intergenerational School in Cleveland integrates older adults with young students in a classroom, so college-linked retirement communities integrate older residents with college-age students on a campus. There are currently about 50 of these communities in operation or under construction in the US that are located on or near a college campus and provide residents with intergenerational learning programs in cooperation with the college or university. The first such community in Japan is currently being developed in the city of Kobe.
